Winston Churchill called Uganda the Pearl of Africa β€” and for good reason. Covering just 241,038 kmΒ², Uganda packs more wildlife species per square kilometre than almost anywhere on Earth. Home to half the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, 1,060 bird species, the River Nile, and 10 national parks spanning tropical forest, savanna, wetlands and mountain terrain.

Spectacular game drives reveal massive elephant herds, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes and crocodiles. The Nile sunset boat cruise to the Falls base is unmissable. About Us

Born in Uganda.
Built for you.

Our guides grew up near the forests they take you into. Our drivers know every track across the savanna. Our relationships with Uganda Wildlife Authority, Rwanda Development Board, local communities and park management run deep β€” built over more than a decade of genuine partnership.

All 10 Uganda Parks Covered

We operate across every Uganda national park β€” from Semuliki to Kidepo, Rwenzori to Bwindi.

Guaranteed Gorilla Permits

Common Questions

Everything You Need to Know

The best months are June–August and December–February (dry seasons). However, gorilla trekking is possible year-round β€” Uganda’s equatorial climate means no true “bad” season. The wet season (March–May, Sep–Nov) brings fewer tourists, lower lodge rates and lush green forest scenery. Many experienced travellers prefer it for solitude and dramatic lighting.

Uganda gorilla permits cost $700 USD per person (set by Uganda Wildlife Authority). Rwanda gorilla permits cost $1,500 USD per person (Rwanda Development Board). All Tulambule packages include the permit cost. We hold confirmed permit allocations for Bwindi, Mgahinga and Volcanoes NP, so your permit is guaranteed when you book with us.

Gorilla trekking involves mountain forest terrain at altitude (1,500–2,500m). Treks range from 1–8 hours depending on where the gorilla family is that day. Guests of all fitness levels successfully complete treks β€” we match you to an appropriate group. Porters are available and highly recommended: they carry your bag, assist on difficult terrain and provide vital income to local communities.

For first-time visitors: Bwindi (gorilla trekking) + Queen Elizabeth (game drives, Kazinga cruise) is the classic combination. Add Kibale (chimp tracking) and Murchison Falls (Nile cruise) for a fuller experience. For adventurous travellers, Kidepo Valley is extraordinary. Rwenzori Mountains suits trekking enthusiasts. Our team will recommend the ideal combination based on your interests, time and budget.

Absolutely β€” our Uganda-Rwanda combo is our most popular itinerary. Gorilla trek in Bwindi, enjoy Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth, then cross to Rwanda for gorilla trekking in Volcanoes NP, Kigali culture and Lake Kivu. A 12–16 day trip covers both countries comfortably. We handle all cross-border logistics, transfers and permit arrangements on both sides.

Yes. Uganda is one of East Africa’s safest safari destinations. National parks and tourist areas are secure, and we accompany you with experienced local guides throughout. Our clients consistently report feeling welcomed and comfortable. Like all international travel, basic precautions apply β€” we provide a full safety briefing and up-to-date guidance with every booking.

Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory β€” you need your Yellow Card certificate to enter Uganda and Rwanda. We recommend (not mandatory): Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Malaria prophylaxis. Consult your travel health clinic 6–8 weeks before departure. We provide full pre-trip health guidance with every confirmed booking.

All Tulambule packages include: gorilla permit, accommodation (lodge or tented camp as selected), private 4Γ—4 vehicle with driver-guide, all park entry fees, meals as specified, boat cruise, airport transfers and 24/7 WhatsApp support. International flights, travel insurance, tips and personal expenses are not included. We also help source competitive flight options on request.
